For over 50 years STC/Spiral Tool has maintained a strong, consistent ongoing relationship with Northrop Grumman, beginning with building parts for the Lunar Module during the space race in the 1960’s (when it was still Grumman Aerospace). Some of the titanium fittings we made back then still sit on the moon.
Since then we’ve be able to support countless programs for Grumman and, after their merger in the 1990’s, Northrop Grumman.
Over the decades we’ve produced many, many zero-defect parts for the A6 Intruder, EA6B, C2 Greyhound, E2 Hawkeye and the Legendary F14 Tomcat of Top Gun fame.
On March 2 I go to Bethesda, Maryland on behalf of STC/Spiral Tool to accept an award at the Northrop Grumman Supplier Excellence Ceremony for our blue rating quality performance. It means that we’re top of the crop when it come to supplier performance.
Our quality rating is 100 out of 100 points.
It’s something that’s not easily attained/maintained, and it’s something we don’t take lightly.
We take deep pride and keep good old fashioned integrity in the equation in every part we make, from making sure every dimension is spot-on in CAD/CAM development, right on through to the final surface finish and blends and paint surface quality.
Just take a look at any of the parts we make and it’s obvious.
We’re proud to accept this award, proud of our commitment to Northrop Grumman, as well as all the other companies we support and provide parts to. We’re proud to support their efforts to keep America safe and secure.
We’re proud of every part we make, and we’re proud to receive this award, an acknowledgement of every effort we make to be the best at what we do.
Thank you, Northrop Grumman, it’s nice to know we got it right.
